This online webinar will first introduce participants to some of the key standards, best practices, models, and tools used when undertaking digital preservation, and will then introduce the Archivematica project as one open-source tool that can be used to support preservation workflows. The session will end with a brief live demo of Archivematica and an opportunity for participants to ask questions.

Presenter: Dan Gillean completed his Dual MAS/MLIS degree at the University of British Columbia’s School of Library, Archival, and Information Studies. He currently serves as the AtoM Program Manager with Artefactual Systems, where he provides quality assurance testing, requirements analysis, documentation, technical support and community dialogue for Artefactual’s AtoM and Archivematica projects.
